Rob and the ladies go to Watoga!

Rob and I had the pleasure of going to the mountains again this month. We enjoyed beautiful weather for our biking, hiking, and driving around the area. On this trip to good ol' West Virginia we also enjoyed evenings spent singing and roasting marshmallows with Mom, Aunt Janice, and Aunt Barbara! There was many laughs during the trip, thankfully no major injuries, and many cherished memories. What a privilege for Rob and myself to enjoy this week with three special ladies!
Our first trip out was to "Beartown State Park". The name came from the folks in the area who thought it was a great location for bears to hide. They also thought that when you look at the rocks they remind one of a town with streets and houses. We found the holes amazing, we were also impressed by the grasses and ferns growing with what we thought to be little top soil. Beautiful!







Then we stopped at Droop Battlefield for lunch. Many different battles were fought here during the Civil War (I'll let Rob add more information!!)

Mom, enjoying her time! It was wonderful to hear all the laughter and see the smiles of these ladies together! What a blessing for Rob and I to be part of.
What you don't know about this picture is that later the person that took this came over and sat on a bucket to play a few tunes. It is wonderful to see Rob enjoy the mountains and his guitar so much. I LOVE GOING TO WATOGA with him.

Rob makes the most WONDERFUL breakfasts! Oatmeal, eggs, and Canadian Bacon! I LOVE IT!
One day we took a drive to see some of the fall colors. Unfortunately it wasn't the most wonderful year for color but it was beautiful to see the views of God's Creation! We stopped and walked at Cranberry Glades. First at the Visitor's Center.
